Hitting the "Bourbon Trail"...................

Only was able to hit two of the stops on the Kentucky "Bourbon Trail"

So of course my maintenance man decided this was a must!!

Jim Beams home-front porch was perfect for sittin' a spell...............

One of the original little distilleries--notice the black on the trees-within a hundred yards around bourbon distilleries-called angel share-the lawmen could discovered where the moonshine was being made because of this give away!!

the tour they give was very interesting and informative!!
could just stand here pressing the button all day..........

they age the bourbon in barrels like this-the black burn is very important........
our tour guide was also our free taster bar tender!!
Having a chat with "Jim Beam"!!
testing is very serious business...............!

This is the kind of job I could do all day!!!!!

This little tiny Baptist Church was nestled between these two huge-9 story bourbon storage/aging buildings.
It's not as easy as some people make it look to get a self portrait of yourselves!!

oh, thanks for taking us along! i've never been to a distillery, and yes, i'm afraid that aroma would be 'intoxicating'... ha ha! :)

I think that the Baptist church between the two storage facilities was a treasure. I wonder what they preach obout on Sunday? LOL. Just joking to all my Baptist friends out there. I need to go on a Scotch tour. Mmmmmmm...... Looks like you had a wonderful time.

I found the black burn on the trees fascinating! I've never had this experience...only wine tastings, and they don't have the colorful history!
