Apron swap!! Fun fun!!

I joined an apron swap a few weeks ago..........

I have always loved aprons........

This one was my grandmothers-approximately 60-70 years old! I love it-it's quite petite-she was a tiny woman-I've had to adjust it!! Add a little here and there-but wear it and remember.....her in her sunny kitchen....

This one I got at the Christmas fair at my church to use in the apron swap....... But liked it too much!!

This very vintage apron I received as a gift from a dear lady in West Virginia this past fall during the Chickens-in-the-Road Retreat-.......I imagine all the meals it has participated in.... the hot summer canning days......the baking bread.......carrying eggs in from the chicken barn.....so many stories woven into the frail fibers........

I read about making the pockets small to securely hold eggs from the barn......!

My prize from the apron swap is the black and white on the left! You can't imagine how surprised and pleased I was to receive this!! I just painted an old dresser black and white and am redoing my bedroom in black and white!

Have a wonderful day!
Rain :)

I even lucked onto the knobs- all different -in a close out bin for 75% off!!

I was gonna say, I really like that black one! My daughter sent me one to use in my shop earlier this year (has Eiffel Towers and French styling all over it). So much fun!
