Plaid Saturday on the Maine coast.....

My daughter and I escaped to the downeast area for some shopping in small locally owned shops..... Here she's toasting to Christmas with elegant cup of tea in my friend Lili's shop  -"Frenchmans Bay Tea Company- in Sorrento Maine!

Lili has the most incredible exquisite taste- her shoppe is a true adventure!!

Love this crow sitting on top of the birdcage!!

 I met Lili through blogging!!

From there we stopped at a resale shop in Ellsworth - I got 2 sweaters- warm!!
Then a book/toy shop- several gifts taken care of there-thanks to my daughter's advice!!!!  That girl can shop........

Can't leave town without refreshments at "The Mex"...........

Ending the day at our own locally owned "Bookstacks" downtown Bucksport- finally got the 20th Evanovitch book-- I highly recommend her- you will laugh out loud at all the characters!

and then...........:

.......guess who had his own fun back on my brothers farm.....
Hanging his trucks and bulldozers around the dog crate- after he shut himself in.......

Oh yes boys are very different then little girls.......:)
Fondly, Rain

Oh Rain...this was fabulous! It was so much fun to have you and Lucy there today. I had to laugh at the last few pics especially in light of the "tied-up" conversation we had! Oh, and can you send me a friend request on Facebook, for some reason it won't let me send you one! Thanks so much Rain!! xoxo

Boys will be boys! Cute, really cute "caged" picture. Let's hope it is the only "cage" he ever experiences!

Looks like a wonderful shopping day with your daughter!
