Blue Bottle Garden in summer.........

In answer to my bottle garden-I started out a few years ago with just the blue-but friends and family have given me some of their very old bottles or one from a celebration or other and I have one in there of my absolute favorite color........

 

When I asked my maintenance man-hubby-for something to hang my new birdhouse I made in pottery class on-he dug into his stash of never-throw-anything-away-from-work-or-anywhere pile and this is what he came up with.......

These aren't all of my bottles-but quite a few-it is something I'm told is done quite a bit in the south! I love mine! The birdbath is very old-from my grandmothers home from when I was a child-I remember sitting at her kitchen table and watching the birds take a bath-she loved that! 

A picture I took last summer in Belfast-I thought these homemade trellis would be great for morning glories or scarlet runners-my and hummingbirds favorite beans! I'm going to start making a couple early this year!

Have to have flamingos in my gardens here and there..................!  the wells in some of the bottoms of the bottles make great little watering cups for the birds-the sun shines on these and it's beautiful.

Can you see my birthday present from my maintenance man last year-I've wanted one for a long time and he has a friend up north whose town is taking them out~~~and~~~was I surprised!!  I love it!!
