October fun!!

The calm before the snow storm.........

I told the ladies this morning they better enjoy the day while they could.........cause there's a storm a brewin'.........

I just love the way winter and Mother Nature made this perfect beautiful ice lace--just for me.........



It's been 5 hours and I'm heading out to add an addendum........cause the snows been falling for a few hours......!

Little guy visits Aunt Coco...farm sitting....down in Brooksville......

Over 2  nights this little goat house for Coconut and Creamsicle went from 2 Nigerian Dwarf ladies to EIGHT goats!

We had a wonderful visit!

They love peanuts!  Don't say "p.e.a.n.u.t.s" unless you really have "p.e.a.n.u.t.s".!!

They liked my sweater.........we aren't used to such big chickens...all mine are little pullets....very different!  Big eggs!

They are running constantly-hard to get pictures!--Just a bluurrrrr......they are not even fenced in here-she can let them out and then just say..........p.e.a.n.u.t.s..........you know the rest......!!

And so continues this crazy winter-2012-in Maine.............

One minute................

snow...........................

two days later................

leaves and remnants of green grass.......

then raindrops................

another little dusting of snow............

thrown into the mix is the dreaded ICE...........

none of us like the ice or snow..........

Love these wreaths that some of my horsey friends put up!  Hope to figure out how to make one for my niece next year!!

finally getting some birds though......love the chickadees especially...

Yo....speak for yourselves chickies....some of us love snow......especially when daddy is home to teach me new stuff.....!

No squabbling.......plenty for everyone!
Chopped carrot peels...green pepper scraps and yummy brown apples that got caught in a couple of frosts-hiding on the back porch behind "stuff"......make for a delightful snack for chicks!!!

Little guy is constantly moving nowadays.......it's hard to get a photo where he's not blurry....it's so strange to be doing yard work in January!....no snow....
Weathermen and women say big storm Thursday.......sleds are ready....and so are we...yippee!!

Give a child a toy....he plays for a little while.......give him a paper bag.......

and it's entertainment for us all....!

So grumpy do we have enough tools to fix that faucet-should I get some from my box......?
