So we made it thru...?!

We lost power for 18 hrs and I nearly cried like a girl?! I guess I came close to losing it cause we were trying to get so much done for trip. Cause we lose power all the time here and doesn't bother me-lost it for 8 days during the "big" ice storm of 98! So anyway my daughter cooked this lovely veggie meal on the grill in the garage-wicked big winds! No rain damage-in fact they said the storm missed Maine?! I set off the fire alarm at 4am when I lit the oil lamp under it-woke husband and baby-not good-two daughters slept thru!! I told them we needed another drill till they heard it! Not happy campers! And my niece continued painting camper sign during storm!! Looks great!

So we hit the road finally-5pm-stopped overnight 3 hrs from home w family! Tomorrow off again....West Virginia bound....

So.......... in trying to finish up the last details of getting the camper ready to head to CITR retreat in WEST VIRGINIA !!!!!!  :)  :)  :)  :)  :) yay yay  yay!!   You do get that I'm excited!~~  now we have to batten down the hatches and prepare for the biggest storm in a hundred years!!  Whats with that-don't the Gods know I'm BUSY!!  haha--well it's like"they" say-what happens when you make plans!  The northeast is suppose to get really hit--we are suppose to be heading out Tuesday evening-of course my maintenance man leaves things for the last minute also--so we are scrambling!!  Finally got the pump hooked back up and running and the microwave blew up--well you know you can buy one in Walmart for $45-or a camper one that fits the space- at the RV place= for $300--the choice there is.......................bungee cords not included-but at the $$$$store!!   And of course I decided we needed new curtains-I can't live for 12 days with total brown curtains in the little camper!!  Also need a name-have been racking my brain for appropriate name for vintage-another word for old!-camper-decorated 60's theme!  Wait till you see what my niece is painting on the back tomorrow morning!!   (She works in an exotic/tropical fish store!!) Must head for camp and bring the lawn chair/missiles inside and get my brand new paddle-boat under cover!!     I'm runnin'..................................
